Christmas Outfit Ideas

It’s almost Christmas!! Even though it feels like early fall pretty much everywhere, the big day is NEXT WEEK! I am really looking forward to graduating, getting home, and being able to relax over the holidays with my family and friends.

The holidays means that there are parties and events seemingly every week. While it would be great to get one dress and re-wear it all season long (nothing wrong with outfit repeating- just change up your accessories!), but unfortunately most events call for a specific dress code. If you’re stuck on what to wear, keep on reading for a little holiday party inspiration!

If your Christmas celebrations are a little more casual, try a polished, preppy look in seasonal colors. I bought this J. Crew factory skirt a few months back and had been saving it for the holiday season- I wore it to our Zeta holiday party last week with almost the same outfit as the one shown above. I’m considering re-wearing it for Christmas even with a sweater and flats!

This outfit would be great for spending Christmas with friends or even your boyfriend’s family. Keep things Christmas-themed without going over the top, and stay comfy in colored jeans and your favorite sweater.

If you’re getting a little dressed up this holiday season, a dark lace dress and a festive purse will never fail. I love emerald anything, especially in the fall, and outfits like this are perfect for matching your tree!

This is pretty much my dream holiday outfit. While I don’t have anywhere fancy enough to bust out a red ballgown and gold heels, I’ll keep dreaming….

Christmas Day is always more casual for my family, so a fun holiday sweater, cozy slippers, and a big cup of coffee in your favorite mug is a perfect way to start the morning. I usually open presents in a pair of my Christmas p.j.’s and then change for dinner in the afternoon!

I hope everyone gets through their last few finals and has a safe trip home! Is your Christmas more formal or casual? What are you planning on wearing?
