Hello! Is anyone else so happy that it’s the weekend. We threw a little Christmas party last night (check out my Instagram!), and it’s inspired my post for today- what to wear to a Christmas sweater party!
I know it’s supposed to be ‘ugly’ sweaters, but let’s be honest, they’re all pretty cute. Last night we had an assortment of elves, Abominable Snowmen, and even Carlton from Fresh Prince. So, I’m referring to these as just regular Christmas sweaters.
Z and I tore through Stranger Things in one weekend (we’re shameless binge watchers), and I really should have bought this sweater for the party. I’ve seen tons of Stranger Things-themed Christmas sweaters (hello, Eleven Days of Christmas) and gifts lately, so they’re perfect for your Demogorgon-hunting friends.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of my favorite movies for this time of year (I love all the old-school classics), and this one really fits into the ugly Christmas sweater category. Add in the ridiculous slippers and your’e good to go.
I love this outfit because you could wear it for a sweater party or for opening presents Christmas morning. How cute are those socks? Not that I need any more Christmas socks…

Haha, I totally agree that the “tacky” Christmas sweaters are actually quite cute and endearing. I especially love the grinch sweater and those cute boot slippers–perfect for lounging at home. Ugly Christmas sweaters don’t seem to be a big thing in France, and I unfortunately didn’t have enough room in my suitcase for one, so I’ll have to admire them online this year!
